East Kameng thrashes Upper Subansiri
RONO HILLS, Jan 28: East Kameng thrashed Upper Subansiri by 54 runs in the ongoing Tado Kholi Inter-District Cricket Tournament here in Papum Pare district on Tuesday.
After winning the toss, East Kameng opted to bat first, and scored 187 runs in 40.2 overs.
Arun Yangfo scored 75 runs in 82 balls, with 10 fours, while captain Suraj Tayam and Chand Kr scored 19 runs in 36 and 20 balls, respectively.
Myendung Singpho took three wickets, while Yorjum Sera, Licha Tehi and Mibom Mosu took two wickets each.
Chasing 188 runs, the Upper Subansiri batsman collapsed after scoring 132 runs in 35.3 overs.
Captain Yorjum Sera scored the highest 41 runs in 84 balls, with 5 fours, while Tade Haging and Nyato Russing scored 24 and 16 runs, respectively.
For East Kameng, Sandeep Kumar Thakur took 3 wickets, giving away 10 runs (3 maidens) in his 7-over spell, while Raja Lama and Kale Cheda took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively.
Arun Yangfo of East Kameng was declared the man of the match.
In another match, Lower Siang fell cheaply at the hands of Kra Daadi and lost by 8 wickets. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Lower Siang were all out for 54 runs in 21.5 overs.
Kra Daadi attained the winning target of 55 runs in 16.1 overs, losing 2 wickets.
Tai Magung of Kra Daadi won the man of the match title for scoring 36 runs, running out a wicket and taking a valuable catch.
