NIRJULI, Feb 10: The NERIST’s forestry department organised a workshop on ‘Invasive alien plants in Himalayas: Status, ecological impact & management’ here on Monday.
Addressing the participating faculty members, research scholars and PG and UG students of the NERIST and Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), lead investigator from the National Mission for Himalayan Studies for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur, Dr LB Singha, enumerated “the objectives and current inventories in the three states.”
NERIST Director Prof HS Yadav, ecologist Prof BK Tiwari, RGU Taxonomist & Adjunct Professor AP Das, and research scholar Biswajit Das were among the resource persons.
