ROING Feb 29: A mini marathon under the Centre’s BetiBachaoBetiPadhao scheme and Arunachal Rising Campaign was organized as part of the International Women’s Day celebration on March 8.
The 7-km race, which started from the general ground here, was flagged off by DD (ICDS) GeyumAmoPerying and SMO Dr F Rehman.
Around 50 runners took part in the race.
Sports activities, like sack race, needle race, tug of war and musical chair were also organized, where women of different age groups participated.
The winners will be awarded on the day of IWD celebration at Central Rekho here. DIPRO
