ITANAGAR, Aug 28: In a representation to the Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner, VIII-Mengio ZPM, Tarh Passang on Monday informed him about the shortage of subject teachers at Government Secondary School Mengio, Sakiang and sought posting of adequate subject teachers within a week.
‘The said school is the lone secondary level school in entire Mengio CD Block and is presently run by only three teachers’, informed the ZPM, adding that the recently transferred teachers have also not joined the school yet, which has hampered the proper functioning of the school.
The ZPM informed that the school required four trained graduate teachers -one each for English, Hindi, Mathematics and Social Studies subjects, besides one PET, a music teacher and a clerk.
