AKKDSU appeals for early release of compensation

ITANAGAR, Aug 30: The All Kurung Kumey District Students’ Union (AKKDSU), in a representation, appealed to the Kurung Kumey Deputy Commissioner to do the needful for early release of compensation to the highway affected people to pave way for early construction of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) within the district.
The AKKDSU appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to pass necessary and strict directive to the District Land Revenue and Settlement Officer to release the compensation bills of the TAH project and also direct the tender winning firm to expedite the road construction work.
The students’ union said that delay in highway construction work in the district has caused immense problem and difficulties to the commuters.
In another representation to the Itanagar Regional Manager of State Bank of India, the Union appealed for immediate posting of sufficient staff at SBI, Branch Koloriang.
The AKKDSU said that the SBI branch had been running without sufficient staff since last two to three years causing great incontinence to the customers, particularly during deposit and withdrawal of money.
