ITANAGAR, Sep 3: Security forces gunned down a hardcore NSCN (K) militant during an operation near Kunsa village of Longding district.
The dead has been identified as Self Styled Corporal of NSCN (K)’s Mobile two group, Honcham Wangsa according to an army release.
Meanwhile, army sources also informed that security forces apprehended another senior NSCN (K) cadre with a pistol and ammunition.
Gantaih Pansa, the Self Styled 2nd Lieutenant of the outfit was apprehended by the Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles during an operation on Sunday afternoon.
Gantaih was a senior leader of NSCN (K) Mobile two unit.
