NAMPONG, Sep 7: Parliamentary Secretary for Legal Metrology Laisam Simai on Thursday inaugurated the new power house building at Nampong.
Dedicating the new power house to the public of Nampong,he asked them to properly maintain the asset. He also disclosed that the current electricity need of Nampong town is 6 MW and the department is able to supply only 3.5 MW, which causes frequent power cuts.
The Power Department on its part said that it would sort out the problems soon.
Simai assured that the people will gradually get to see the completion of projects that began three years ago.
Earlier, Simai inaugurated the new ADO building funded under DoTCL at his home town Manmao.
The inaugural programme was followed by development meeting with the Manmao public and PRI members at the community hall. All the HoDs presented the departmental activities of last three years.
Simai also visited Adimjati School at Nampong and fulfilled the demand of a colour television and water container with 10k litre capacity on the spot.
The Parliamentary Secretary was accompanied by ADC SS Choudhory, SDO K Tikhak, Power EE, AE, ZPMs, PRI and public leaders.
