ITANAGAR, Sep 8: The Department of Commerce, Dera Natung Govt. College (DNGC) on Friday organised a one-day seminar on “Goods and Services Tax” (GST). The seminar sponsored by UGC was held under the guidance of assistant professors Likha Eichir and Pate Jumshi.
Associate Professor of the Dept of Commerce, SK Sharma delivered the keynote address. This was followed by a presentation of papers and models by the five groups of students.
The students presented papers on the topics: One Nation, One Tax, GST: Impact on FMCG Sector, GST and its essentials, GST: Its impact on Indian Economy and GST Reform: Role Model of the World.
On the occasion the resource person, Dr. M Bhattacharjee, HoD Geography, spoke about “Green Sense Tax” which was followed by a talk on the “Importance of Seminar and Workshop” by Dr. Atege Linggi Asstt. Professor, Commerce, Rajiv Gandhi University.
Head of the department of Commerce, Dr. A K Pandey also spoke on the occasion.
The students and teachers from various departments of the College participated in the seminar.
