SEPPA, Sep 9: In a major boost to the health sector of East Kameng district, a hi-tech endoscopy machine and Eliza machine were installed in the Seppa Diagnostic Centre (SDC) recently.
The SDC is one of the leading diagnostic centres of the state, established by Dr Posting Bayang, a renowned gynaecologist at Rama Krishna Mission Hospital and his wife Tamchi Dina Bayang, the proprietor.
Circle Officer Pooja Sonam Natung termed the installation of the new endoscopy and Eliza machines at the SDC beneficial for the people, who otherwise cannot afford to go out to Itanagar, Guwahati or Shillong for diagnosis.
Natung hoped that with the installation of these new machines, the health sector in the district would improve. She further appreciated the SDC team for rendering better health services at Seppa Township.
Highlighting on the sophisticated Eliza machine, MD, Dr R Natung said that the machine would be useful in the early and accurate diagnosis of many deadly diseases, such as dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, HIV and hormone assay tests, like thyroid functions test.
Earlier, the machines were inaugurated by Circle Officer Pooja Sonam Natung and East Kameng Socio Welfare and Cultural Organisation AGS, Akhiya Pordung in the presence of local management committee members of SDC.
