Lok Adalat settles 17 cases in Aalo

AALO, Sep 11: At least 17 criminal compoundable cases, money suits and pre-litigation cases were disposed of during a Lok Adalat held in the District Court of Aalo on Saturday last.
Members of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), including advocates Minrik Nochi, Todak Ado and Gorik Kamduk, under Presiding Officer Chief Judicial Magistrate cum- Civil Judge (Sr Divn), Hirendra Kashyap had taken up 76 cases, of which only 17 were disposed off.
The remaining cases could not be disposed of due to absence of victim, complainant or respondent, or the unwillingness of the party to settle the case in the Lok Adalat.
Accordingly, the same have been referred to the next Lok Adalat or regular court for necessary step as per law. (DIPRO)
