AALO, Sep 14: Issues like land acquisition to army, dilapidated condition of Tape Yajo road, proper drainage system near ALG and adjoining areas and garbage disposal management were discussed during a civil-military liaison conference held at the conference hall of the 5th Infantry Brigade on Thursday.
During the conference, which was attended by Major General Ashok Dingra, SM and Brigadier J S Budhwar, along with district administration HoDs and army authorities, the army officers informed that the Tape Yajo road is in a dilapidated condition and requires immediate maintenance. They suggested construction of CC pavement road in place.
‘During summer, due to accumulation of rain water from upper belts, the ALG and its adjoining areas face acute problems’, they said and stressed on the need to create proper drainage system on priority.
West Siang Deputy Commissioner, Swetika Sachan in her address assured full cooperation from the district administration and other key stakeholders from the district. (DIRPO)
