CHANGLANG, Sep 18: Concerned over increasing tobacco consumption among the people, including school going children, resulting in public health hazard, Changlang District Magistrate (DM) Wayong Khimhun through an executive order banned sale of all tobacco products, like gutkha, pan masala, cigarette, etc within the jurisdiction of Changlang district.
Anyone found violating the order would be booked and action initiated as per the provisions of law.
The DM, who is also the Chairperson of District Tobacco Control Cell, instructed the authorities concerned to enforce the executive order in letter and spirit. (DIPRO)
