ITANAGAR, Sep 18: A fortnight long programme on Swachch Bharat Abhiyan organised by the NSS Cell of NERIST concluded here on Sunday last.
During the programme, faculty, staff and students of NERIST, along with the executive members of Nirjuli Market Welfare Committee carried out cleanliness and plantation activities.
Dean of Student’s Affair Professor Binay Singh, IMC Deputy Chief Counsellor, Tarh Nachung and brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Itanagar, Lily Tumbom Riba Jomoh also appealed to all to play their part and make the city clean and green.
Responding to the call of the Prime Minister, the members of Theravada Buddhist Society organized a cleanliness drive at Theravada Buddhist Vihara, Itanagar on Sunday.
The members also took Swachhta pledge.
