PIPSORANG, Sep 21: The All Pipsorang Development Committee (APDC) has urged the state government to conduct a thorough enquiry into the alleged misappropriation of fund under BADP projects in Pipsorang circle of Kra Daadi district.
Claiming that the state Rural Works Department had sanctioned work orders amounting to crores of rupees for various construction works, including construction of CC footpaths, porter track and teachers’ quarters under BADP projects in several places under Piposorang circle between 2010 and 2016, APDC Chairman Tami Tapik alleged that the entire bill amount had already been withdrawn under various heads without execution or completion of works.
In its complaint letter to the Chief Minister, the Committee said that concerned departmental officials had paid money to the contractors without execution or completion of works.
Armed with RTI documents, Tapik further alleged that officials concerned had prepared false report of work completion, misled the government and siphoned off huge amount of public money.
The committee demanded prompt action against officials involved in misappropriation of fund and completion of various project works at the earliest.
