ITANAGAR, Sep 21: In a complaint letter to the Minister of Education, the Arunachal Pradesh Colleges’ Forum (APCF) has alleged that teachers’ quarters for Wangcha Rajkumar Government College, Deomali at Tirap district have not been constructed as per required guidelines and payments have already been released against the firm which took up the Rs 1 crore project.
Citing documents procured through RTI, the APCF alleged that of the five quarters (Four Type-III and one Type-IV), only three of the teachers’ quarters have been completed, that too without adhering to the DPR of the department concerned.
‘The engineering wing of the Department of Education has already made payments against the aforementioned work without completion of the project work’, it claimed.
It further demanded strict action against the erring officials, contractors and threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demands are not met with within 15 days.
