ITANAGAR, Sep 22: The Students United Movement of All Arunachal (SUMAA) expressed solidarity with the families of Apsana Talkudar, a class XI student of GHSS, Itanagar, who was killed in a tragic road accident near Punjabi Dhaba, here on September 22.
A team of SUMAA led by its General Secretary Suraj Ligu visited the family members of the victim at P-Sector, Itanagar and consoled them.
SUMAA will take out a candle light peace march from Akashdeep to IG Park Tennis Court to express solidarity with the victim on September 23 at 2pm.
The team also met the investigating officer at Itanagar Police Station to know about the case and its ground realities.
The team demanded immediate termination of the driver involving the accident for his alleged negligent driving.
Claiming that the vehicle involving the accident was old and worn out the student organization demanded to check the road worthiness of the vehicle by a team of MVI.
