Mass cleanliness drives held in state

ITANAGAR, Sep 25: Members of numerous organisations and societies, including government officials organized cleanliness drives at various places as part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
The PHED Roing held a cleanliness drive at the famous tourist destination of Mayudia in Lower Dibang Valley, in collaboration with District Administration of Hunli Block and participation of the Hunli Health Department.
Desali Circle Officer Dr Hage Atho administered the Swachhata pledge before beginning the cleaning spree and distributing dustbins to the people living in the vicinity of Mayudia.
At Pappu Nallah in Naharlagun, the doctors, nurses and staff of NIBA Hospital at Pappu Nallah cleaned the entire campus and building of NIBA Hospital on Monday.
Managing Director of NIBA Hospital, Dr Chetha Langkhun encouraged all staff members to extend the message of cleanliness in their neighbourhood, and stressed that it is the primary duty of all citizens,
especially health professionals, to keep their surroundings clean for a healthy life and healthy society.
At Hayuliang, the Adi Welfare Society Hayuliang, in association with District Health Society, Anjaw conducted cleanliness drive at the district hospital on Sunday last, while a large gathering of government officials, staff and students took part in a mass cleanliness drive, which was organised under the supervision of SDO Kajol Karmakar at General Hospital, Tezu, Indira Gandhi College, Government Higher Secondary School and Children’s Park on Monday.
A similar drive was conducted at Sangram on Saturday last, by the Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Council under the patronage of its President Reverend Dr Nyakdo Tasar.
A mass cleaning drive was also conducted at DDSE Office compound under the leadership of ST Zara, DDSE-cum-DPO, Papum Pare.
All the officials of the establishment actively participated in the cleaning drive under Swachhata Hi Sewa.
