ROING, Sep 26: A meeting-cum-training was held under Roing DEO Deepak Shinde, in connection with conduct of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll, with January 1, 2018 as qualifying date as per the Election Commission of India’s direction.
CO (Eln), Dr Mary Nanom Taloh briefed EROs, AEROs, Supervisors and BLOs on the Special Summary Revision with a PowerPoint presentation.
The DEO also directed all BLOs and Supervisors on electoral roll activities, namely enrolment of young voters, especially in the age group of 18-21 years; verification of dead voters in the electoral roll and 100 percent coverage of replacement of black and white EPIC, with new PVC EPIC.
The DEO also directed all BLOs to be present at their designated polling stations during special campaign day scheduled for October 8 and 15 for receiving claims and objections.
