ITANAGAR, Oct 5: The Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association (APDA) has decided to go ahead with mass casual leave on October 7 and Oct 9 to press for their demands.
The APDA has been demanding immediate amendment of the APHS Cadre Rule, 2000 and framing of Recruitment Rule of Director Medical Education (T&R) and Director Family Welfare and cancellation of the recent appointment order (No HFW-34/2017).
On September 30, the APDA wore black badges in protest against non-compliance of their demand.
The Organisation said that the government has recently appointed four directors on officiating basis without conducting the Departmental Promotional Committee (DPC), which is in total violation of the directives of the High Court.
The APDA further said that apart from its district units, the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences and Directorate of Heath will join the mass casual leave.
A statement from APDA said that emergency services shall not be affected during the mass casual leave.
