DOIMUKH, Oct 7: A book titled ‘Power and its Dynamics: A Critical Study of the Novels of Ngugi wa Thiong’o’, authored by Dr Miazi Hazam, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Rajiv Gandhi University, was formally released by Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Tamo Mibang at Rajiv Gandhi University on Friday last.
The book is an in-depth analysis of the dynamics of power, control and domination as evident in the novels of the Kenyan author Ngugi wa Thiong’o. The importance of the book lies in its interdisciplinary approach that incorporates various theoretical and critical approaches and is expected to provide interesting and helpful reading to academicians and scholars in humanities and the social sciences.
