ITANAGAR, Oct 10: Waii International Hotel has introduced the Medical Oxygen Supply System (MOSS) on Tuesday. It is for the first time that the MOSS, a portable, lightweight oxygen generator especially designed for the hilly areas like Arunachal Pradesh by a South Korean based Multi-National Company, NF. Co. Ltd is launched in the North East region.
Launching the MOSS this evening, Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein urged the health care facilities in the state to ensure MOSS saying that it is vital to provide a safe and reliable supply of oxygen to the patients for life support and treatment.
Referring to the reported tragic death of around 30 infants in a hospital in Uttar Pradesh in August this year due to shortage of Oxygen supply, he urged the medical practitioners and the doctors of the state to be cautious and prepared for any kind of exigency in future. With ever growing population and increasing health related issues, hospitals, both Govt and Private, in the state have to be equipped with adequate oxygen supply system and other facilities; he said and asked the medical practitioners to explore the feasibilities of the MOSS in the state.
Sangkon Lee, Founder of NF. Co. Ltd., South Korea, Hayley Jeong, Business Development Manager for Overseas and Premal Patel, CEO, Calitech Biotechnologies, the lone distributor in India explained the specifications, functioning and the advantage of the MOSS. According to them the MOSS is eco-friendly and it is capable of supplying 90% highly purified oxygen for 365 days without any charging. They expressed their willingness to supply the MOSS to the Govt and Private Hospitals in the state.
Among others, Parliamentary Secretary, Lhaisam Simai, Chairman State Council for IT & Governance, Gabriel D Wangsu, MLA Paknga Bage, Chairman Hydro-power Development Corporation, Tungri Effa, Director North East region, Calitech Biotechnologies, Nido Marina, Director Health services, Moromor Lego, senior doctors were also present on the occasion.
