AALO, Oct 14: The Gram Samriddhi Evam Swacchta Pakhwada (cleanliness fortnight) under Mission Antodaya was celebrated at Yigi Kaum village adopted under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) by organizing cleanliness drive and plantation programme.
Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan along with all head of offices attended the programme.
Oath of making their village open defecation free and zero school dropouts, especially among girl children was administered to the villagers.
Besides, soil health cards were also distributed among the farmers and Aadhaar seeding and enrolment and job card verification were jointly conducted by the BDO, Aalo East and the Aadhaar operators.
Bank account opening camp was set up by Aalo branch of Apex Bank and legal awareness camps organized under the supervision of CJMH Kashyap.
A two-day health camp was also conducted jointly by DMO and 5th Infantry Brigade, Aalo from October 13.
The Deputy Commissioner while addressing the participants appreciated the public for their active and mass participation and the departments for the inter-departmental coordination. She thanked the 5th Infantry Brigade for successful organization of the health camp.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was supposed to attend the programme, could not due to unfavorable weather condition and road blockade. DIPRO
