BOMDILA, Oct 14: A five-day long Vertical Training Programme of Block Level ICDS functionaries, CDPOs, Supervisors and AWWs of West Kameng and Tawang districts which began on Oct 9 last concluded here on Saturday.
Conducted by the National Institute of Public corporation and Child Development (NIPCCD) Regional centre, Guwahati with support from the Women and Child Development Department, GoAP, the training aims to enhance the skills of CDPOs and Supervisors to act as master trainers for providing continuing education to AWWs and to work jointly and formulate action plan at project-level for quality improvement in ICDS programme.
Earlier in the inaugural programme, WCD Department, Director, T.P. Loyi said ICDS has a close relationship with the department of Education and she highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the WCD department for ‘ 3 R s’ through ECCE training, Curriculum, Activity Books etc.
Bomdila Additional Deputy Commissioner Bomdila, Bopai Puroik, Deputy Director (ICDS), DMO Dr. D.Wange and DDSE, D.W. Kharma and Deputy Director (ICDS) Lian Moyee were also present on the occasion.
NIPCCD, Guwahati Assistant Director, K Sunita Seshadri and NIPCCD, Guwahati Assistant Director, Dr. Minakshi Regon were the resource persons.
