Naharlagun, Oct 18: The Capital Administration along with police intensified efforts to fight illegal gambling by conducting sudden raids in various sectors and colonies.
The team led by EAC (Naharlagun) Hento Karga and CO Moyir Kato, along with police personnel carried out raids in Damsite, Polo Colony, Barapani, Pachin Colony, ‘C’ Sector, Down Colony, ‘E’ Sector in Naharlagun and Nirjuli to check illegal gambling activities.
Several gambling materials were reportedly seized and destroyed by the team.
Similar raids are being carried out in Itanagar by another team led by administrative officers of Itanagar. (DIPRO)
