PANGIN, Oct 21: MLA of 35th Pangin Boleng Assembly Constituency Tapang Taloh laid the foundation stone of Model Village Mopit on October 20 last, to develop it under the state flagship programme of Chief Minister’s Adarsh Gram Yojana (CMAY).
Addressing a gathering of PRIs, GBs and residents of Mopit, Nugong and various other villages, Taloh stressed on maintaining quality in the implementation process and asked the stakeholders to extend full cooperation to ensure utmost quality to achieve the true status of a model village, as envisioned by Chief Minister Pema Khandu for overall growth of the rural community.
Briefing on the CMAY, Taloh hoped that the development in the area would go a long way in encouraging rural tourism. He also assured to give top priority to rural connectivity and stressed on importance of roads and bridges for development of rural areas.
He also called upon the youth to take up economic activities in rural tourism, agri and allied sectors and infrastructure development, etc.
Earlier, President and General Secretary of Nugong Banngo Kebang, Tapun Taki and Ojing Pajing also appreciated the proactive initiative taken by the MLA for the all-round development of Nugong area and the district in general.
