Health dept treats 818 patients in outreach camp

KOYU, Oct 23: A two days multi disciplinary outreach camp was conducted at Koyu Government Higher secondary School on last Saturday and Sunday, where 818 patients availed the benefit.
The camp was conducted by the Directorate of Health Services, in Collaboration with the District Health Society of East Siang district. The medicine, which was distributed free to patients, was sponsored by local MLA Kento Rina.
Specialized services were provided by specialist doctors from CHC Ruksin, Bakin Pertin General Hospital, Pasighat and TRIMHS, Naharlagun.
Also, six minor surgical cases were performed by surgical specialist Dr B Pajing of CHC Ruksin.
In her inaugural address, Special Secretary cum Mission Director, NHM, Tapasaya Raghav requested all the villagers to take advantage of specialized services at their door step. She also exhorted the public to take full advantage of schemes like JSY and JSSK. She assured the gathering to give all possible help for improvement of PHC Koyu.
Local MLA Kento Rina advised the gathering to maintain discipline and give all possible cooperation to the Health Department for successful conduct of the camp. He also thanked the Health Department for bringing multi disciplinary health activity to Koyu.
Earlier, the Special Secretary inaugurated the camp in presence of local MLA Kento Rina, Directorate of Health Service Dr Moromor Lego, Director of Family Welfare Dr Kabang Lego, Director of TRIMHS Dr Moji Jini and host of officials from the Directorate.
A new ambulance for PHC Koyu, provided by the NHM, was jointly flagged off by the local MLA and Special Secretary.
