ITANAGAR, Oct 24: Itanagar-Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner, Prince Dhawan formally handed over the land allotment order of three separate areas, measuring 2880 sqm, 3483 sqm and 2675 sqm to the Director of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Dr Moji Jini, on Tuesday for the establishment of TRIHMS.
The TRIHMS Director informed that as per the Medical Council of India Guidelines, the earlier allotted area for the establishment of the medical college was not sufficient, and they had approached the state government for additional land, the land allotment copy of which was formally handed over on Tuesday.
He further expressed happiness that the additional area would now serve the purpose for the establishment of the medical college, hostels, etc.
The DC has also requested denizens of the Capital Complex to provide their support and cooperation in bringing up the first medical college of the state and stressed that we should be really thankful of the fact that such a large institution would be established in the Capital Complex.
Special Secretary (Health) Tapasya Raghav and OSD to Director TRIHMS BVS Murthy were also present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
