ITANAGAR, Oct 24: Over a hundred participants, including SSA, RMSA staff, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, besides parents and Divyangjan students attended a two-day long SSA-RMSA meet on PWDs Act 2016, held at Yingkiong from October 23 and 24.
Organized by the NIEPMD, Chennai, in association with Yuva Vikash Sangathan and Research Training and Research Organization, the programme was aimed at creating awareness among the participants about the problems and ways to address and involve the students having multiple disabilities.
The participants were also informed about the recently modified PWDs Act, 2016.
The programme was earlier inaugurated by Yingkiong ADC, Adong Pertin.
Resource persons included DTP Dr Ahik Miyu, Physiotherapist Oyi Tayeng, CDPO P Nomuk and CWSN, SSA Yingkiong Gemo Pertin.
