SEPPA, Oct 28: The District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) of East Kameng district reviewed the performance and immunization coverage during the first round of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI), which was held from October 7 to 13 last.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk further chalked out strategies for the second round of the vaccination programme under IMI scheduled from November 7 to 13.
He encouraged the field workers, data operators, ASHAs and ANMs to work with the same spirit to achieve the targeted immunization coverage.
The DC advised the department to draw a plan in advance and involve ICDS, Panchayat and Education departments to achieve the true objective of the mission, and assured necessary fund for procurement of medicines and maintenance of infrastructure of various health centres
He also assured sanctioning relief assistance to a health staff, whose house was burnt down in a fire accident last year.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner directed the DMO to forward the names of dedicated and hard working ASHA workers for award and reward from his personal sources.
DRCHO Dr Dirang Pizi briefed about the block-wise performance, coverage percentage, refusal rate and target achieved during the first round of IMI in the district. (DIPRO)
