BASAR, Oct 30: The second edition of Basar Confluence (BASCON), organized by Gumin Rego Kilaju (GRK) will be held on November 4 and 5.
BASCON will mainly focus on the rich culture and tradition of the Galo society, its different types of recipes and beverages, display of traditional fishing methods, hunting, showcasing of arts and artefact.
Sixteen cultural troupes from various tribes of Arunachal Pradesh and other states have confirmed their participation in the programme.
Another attraction of the event will be participation of Arunachal Pradesh Aero Sports Association (APASA) led by Pige Ligu and his team. Joyride will also attract the enthusiastic people to have experience of flying 15 minutes in the air.
Artists from different fields, including NSD alumni Riken Ngomle and Goge Bam, renowned filmmaker from Kerala Sajin Babu and Gautam from Guwahati and many more have already arrived in Basar and are staying in villages to have better experience of tribal life since last 15 days.
Dignitaries, including MoS (Home) Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu are expected to attend the programme.
