PASIGHAT, Nov 1: Group Captain (Retd) Mohonto Pangging gave a talk on developments made by India since independence and said that India as the 3rd largest economy of the world ranks among the top ten nations in the realm of defence strength in the world.
He was addressing an IQAC sponsored Inter-Disciplinary Popular Talk on India@70 which was organised by the Jawaharlal Lal Nehru College at its Conference Hall here on Wednesday.
Taking part in the talk, Principal Milorai Modi pointed that India @70 has to be seen from the perspective of two phases i.e 1947 to late 1980s and 1990s (the beginning of liberalization) till date. Vice Principal Dr. S D Choudhury also spoke.
