ITANAGAR, Nov 5: Nirjuli United finished bottom of the T K Arunachal Super League and were relegated from the state football league.
The team suffered a heartbreaking 2-3 defeat against Deed Circle in their last encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Sunday.
Nirjuli United were ahead with two successive goals from Taba Taram in the 15th and 18th minutes.
However, Deed Circle came back strongly in the second half. Tailyang netted in 58th minute to reduce the margin to 1-2. A few minutes later, Tapi Haki found the equalizer. Lal Bui sealed the much needed win for Deed Circle.
