ITANAGAR, Nov 6: Former MLA Jobom Basar has passed away at the age of 67 on Saturday.
He represented Basar constituency as an Independent MLA in 1996.
Governor Dr B D Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed profound grief over the demise of Basar and offered condolence to the bereaved family members.
“Basar, hailing from a very interior village Nyigam, went on to become a member of the Legislative Assembly. He will always be remembered as one of the pioneers of Arunachal society and his contributions to give a shape and identity to Arunachal politics will be cherished forever,” said the Chief Minister in a condolence message here this evening.
