TAWANG, Nov 7: The 11-day annual constituency development tour of Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi to take stock of the developmental activities entered its third day with his visit to Yusum, Tsaighar and Gomkang villages on Tuesday.
Addressing the villagers, the MLA highlighted the importance of quality education and exhorted parents to be equal partners in the success of their children.
He also dealt on the various schemes that have been rolled out by the government towards providing self employment to youths, farmers, weavers, etc and requested the targeted groups to come forward and avail the benefits.
The MLA also gave a patient hearing to the grievances put forth by the villagers and assured to address those.
Reiterating on the importance of self employment, Tawang DC, Sang Phuntsok said that the youths should look beyond gaining employment in government sector and should explore possibility of self employment.
The DC also expressed his dismay over low turnout of applicants in various government sponsored schemes despite the awareness created and requested everyone, especially PRI leaders for their participation towards effective implementation of the schemes. (DIPRO)
