DC calls for immediate repair of working women hostels

TEZU, Nov 8: Lohit District Deputy Commissioner, Karma Leki on Wednesday visited the Working Women Hostel in Tezu to check the condition for its operationalization and observed that some of the structures of the building are in bad shape and require immediate repairs.
Accordingly, the DC directed the RWD, which is the executing agency of the hostel, to prepare estimates for necessary repair and maintenance. He also called for framing proper by-law before its operation.
In this connection, the Deputy Commissioner asked the ICDS Deputy Director to convene a meeting to discuss the various matters related to operation of the hostel.
The DC also visited the Working Women Hostel under Urban Development Department in Tezu and directed the Deputy Director UD to prepare a report with detail by-law and submit it by next Monday.
Among others, the DC was also accompanied by the CDPO and representatives of the All Mishmi Women Welfare Society, Lohit.
