ITANAGAR, Nov 8: Zone-1 qualifying rounds of the 16th Tadar Tang State Level Football Championship began at Tezu, Lohit on Wednesday.
The inaugural match played between Lohit and Anjaw ended in 1-1 draw.
Rocky Yun scored for Lohit in 5th minutes, which was equalized by Anjaw’s Vicky Manyu in 28th minutes.
Lower Dibang Valley came from behind to register a 2-1 victory over Dibang Valley in the second match.
Dibang Valley was leading Lower Dibang Valley 1-0 at halftime with goal from Limon Meju (19th min).
Tobang Lego restored the parity in 57th minutes before Enos Nini netted the winning goal for LDV three minutes later.
Two teams from each zone will qualify for the final round.
