TEZU, Nov 9: Addressing a coordination meeting on Thursday the Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki said that rampant encroachment of Government land is unfortunate. He requested all the stakeholders to come forward and discourage such illegal activities and stand by the district administration whenever required.
DC requested the participation of all the stakeholders in the developmental process of the district. He informed the house that relocation of fish and meat shops along the main road has already begun and soon all the shops will be relocated to designated fish and meat market.
Flying Squad has been formed to check the illegal land encroachment, he informed. He has also issued a directive to the departments of PHE and Power to verify the copy of land allotment and NOC from Administration before giving any new water or electricity connections.
He said development and beautification projects such as establishment of AYUSH Medical College and Hospital in the district is a great opportunity for the public district and State in general.
Nakul Chai and Khapreso Krong, former Ministers also spoke on the occasion. They have assured District Administration of their full cooperation for the benefit of Mishmi Society of Lohit District. Suraj Tayang CALSOM General Secretary, Haweli Kri Anchal Chairperson, Public leader Sotai Kri, AMSU President, Senior citizens, ZPM Sunpura etc also spoke on the occasion.(DIPRO)
