SEPPA, Nov 9: Food & Civil Supply Department in collaboration with East Kameng District Administration has formally launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) here at Seppa on Thursday. A dozen of female beneficiaries from BPL category were distributed with free LPG connection during the inaugural event.
Launching the programme, EAC Pama Bagang has urged both Food & Civil Supply Department and the proprietor of Kameng Gas Agency to maintain complete transparency in identification of genuine beneficiary under the scheme. He further requested them to go extra mile so that true beneficiaries at grass root level get the benefit of the scheme at their door step.
Appreciating both the central and state governments for such a noble initiative, EAC Bagang further assured to provide all possible assistance from the district administration for fruitful implementation of the Yojana.
Among others, DF&CSO Chuku Jirjo, ADI Nondo Doka, Proprietor of Kameng Gas Agency, Kaku Welly were also present on the occasion.
