DAPORIJO, Nov 9: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Upper Subansiri district organized a training programme on “Composite Fish culture and Integrated fish farming” in two phases at its office campus from Oct 24 to 26 and Nov 1 to 3 last. The programme was sponsored by National Fisheries Development Board.
In his inaugural address, District Fishery Development Officer, Taye Riamuk requested the farmers to take full advantage of training and use the knowledge gained from the training in their fields activities.
Nyape Bam, in-charge Senior Scientist & Head highlighted the functions and activities of the Kendra.
Course Director of the training program, Dipjyoti Bora gave various trainings on composite fish culture and different models of integrated fish farming.
Resource persons from fisheries department also delivered lectures on importance of integrated fish farming and quality fish seed release etc. on the occasion.
A field visit cum demonstration programme as part of the programme was also organised at Riddi village.
Altogether 50 participants of different villages took part in the training programme. DIPRO
