Chief Secretary’s intervention sought for early creation of STPF

ITANAGAR, Nov 14: In a representation to the Chief Minister, the All Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Corruption Students’ Union (AAPACSU) on Tuesday sought his early intervention into the issue of creation of 112 posts of the Special Tiger Protection Force (STPF).
The Union in its letter stated that in 2008, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) of GoI sanctioned for the post of 112 STPF for Arunachal Pradesh but till date no advertisement has been placed by the state government for the said posts.
‘Despite several letters being issued by the Principal Secretary of Environment and Forest to the state government seeking immediate initiative on the STPF issue’, the union claimed, adding that on September 26 last, the NTCA had also been issued a letter in which the Chief Secretary had been directed for early intervention into the issue but no initiative has been taken yet.
