President to visit Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Nov 15: President of India Ram Nath Kovind will dedicate the newly built State Legislative Assembly to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and address the Legislators at a special session of the State Legislative Assembly at 3.30 pm on November 19.
Prior to it, the President will attend the valedictory function of completion of 40 years of Vivikananda Kendra in Arunachal Pradesh at 11.30 pm in Itanagar.
He will also visit Assam and Manipur and attend various programmes.
Meanwhile, during his visit to the Indira Gandhi Park here on Wednesday, where the President is going to address a meeting, Governor Dr. B D Mishra has put emphasis on proper maintenance of park at all times.
Utmost care must be taken to preserve its greenery and cleanliness, he said while directing the officials to work suo moto to maintain the serenity of the area.
Later, he saw the ongoing preparations for the cultural programme to be presented during the President of India’s visit in the Main Ground of the Park.
He suggested that the event must reflect the treasured cultural heritage of the State.
Deputy Commissioner of Capital Complex Itanagar, Prince Dhawan briefed him regarding the arrangements and other amenities being organised for the event.
Itanagar Chief Municipal Councillor, Kipa Kaku, PCCF, Omkar Singh, among others were present on the occasion. (PRO to Governor)
