KANUBARI, Nov 17: Longding Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh Malik on Wednesday visited Lawnu block in Kanubari ADC Hqs to take stock of the various developmental activities being executed in the area.
Malik, who joined Longding district recently, was on his maiden visit to Launu and other adjoining areas to have first hand information about the place, besides inspection of implementation of various policies and programmes of the government.
Accompanied by Kanubari ADC Taro Mize, HoDs and PRI leaders, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various infrastructures at Lawnu Circle headquarters, namely helipad and newly constructed Inspection Bungalow.
He also inspected Ranglua-Chopsa PMGSY road under RWD and various other schemes under NERCOMP at Chopsa village.
Villagers of Chopsa were overwhelmed at the visit of Mallik as he is the first Deputy Commissioner to have visited Chopsa, one of the oldest villages in Kanubari constituency.
Later, at a meeting attended by the villagers and Panchayat leaders of the area, the DC emphasized on the need of availing government policies and programmes for betterment of the society and called upon the people for effective enrolment of Aadhar Card to facilitate welfare initiatives as provided by the Government of India and state government.
He, however, stressed on quality works through proper execution as per specification and guidelines in all schemes and projects.
While giving patient hearing to the grievances put forth by the people, the DC assured to look into the problems and sought their support and cooperation for effective implementation of all government programmes. DIPRO
