TEZU, Nov 17: Lohit District Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki called upon a meeting of all stakeholders in connection with ensuing Parshuram Kund Mela in the premises of Parsuram Kund on Nov 16 last.
The meeting was convened to discuss and chalk out detail program and necessary arrangements related to the smooth conduct of the ensuing Parsuram Kund Mela in January 2018.
In the meeting, he directed all the departments and officials involved in the preparation to ensure smooth conduct of Mela and there should be no stone unturned for successful conduct of the Mela, he told.
Various departments were entrusted with action plans like the PHED, GREF, Power etc were given responsibilities to provide toilets with water supply, uninterrupted drinking water supply, electricity, good condition road for smooth travel and transportation etc. of the pilgrims.
Law and order, security etc were also discussed in the meeting. Superintendent of Police Isaac Pertin has ensured to provide adequate security personnel during the Mela.
Earlier, DC inspected Parsuram Kund.
