TV sets distributed to registered workers

YUPIA, Nov 17: TV sets were distributed to the registered workers of Papum Pare district under the Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) here at Panchayat Conference hall on Friday.
Earlier launching the programme, Deputy Commissioner, Tai Kaye hoped that APB&OCWWB’s welfare initiative will motivate the workers to continue the service with dedication. He also exhorted the workers to keep the spirit high and to maintain work culture.
APB&OCWWB Chairman, Jalley Sonam said that he is looking forward to work more for the welfare of the workers in the state. He informed that ambitious schemes like housing loan facility to the registered workers will be taken up effectively in days to come.
The Labour Commissioner, O Darung said that department is set to implement strict rules and regulations to check the performance of the workers.
Tana Takam, son of Tana Pekhi and Vikash Biswas, son of Dipendra Biswas were also given Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively under APB&OCWWB financial help programme for higher education to the children of workers. DC Kaye handed over the cheque to the beneficiaries. DIPRO
