TEZU, Nov 21: Lohit recorded 99 percent immunization coverage during the Round -II of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI).
It was reported by DRCHO (Lohit), Dr S Nayil in a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall on Tuesday.
Commending the Health and Family Welfare Department and all stakeholders for the achievement, Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki exuded confidence that with the same amount of dedication and cooperation from all stakeholders, the district will be able to achieve cent percent coverage in the next round of the IMI.
He, however, said that we should not be complacent with the achievement as we have to achieve cent percent coverage.
The Deputy Commissioner, who also is the Chairman of the District Health Society, emphasized on intensive planning, review and monitoring of the preparedness on Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign in the district, which is likely to start from the first week of February in 2018.
He sought cooperation from the Education Department, ICDS, religious institutions, civil societies and various stakeholders for success of any health programme.
