DAPORIJO, Nov 30: Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner, Danish Ashraf in a meeting with the CDPOs, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) DD and representatives of ICDS projects reviewed the activities of the ICDS projects in the district on Thursday.
Presiding over the meeting, Ashraf said that AWCs are one of the most crucial institutions for providing health facilities to children and pregnant mothers.
He advised the ICDS DD to select one Anganwadi centre under Nacho and Siyum ICDS projects and two Anganwadi centres under Daporijo, Dumporijo and Baririjo ICDS projects to be upgraded as “Model Anganwadi Centres”, with full facilities.
The DC also asked the ICDS DD and CDPOs to place their problems before the district administration for suitable solution. He requested all CDPOs to furnish a copy of MPR to his office.
During the meeting, emphasis was given on making the already constructed AWCs functional. CDPOs were asked to take action against those workers who were not performing their duties at their designated places.
Meanwhile, issues related to improvement of infrastructure facilities and proper use of smart classrooms, besides implementation of various schemes at government schools were discussed with the DDSE, principals and headmasters of various government schools.
The DC asked for Aadhar enrolment of all students compulsorily, so that they could avail various facilities of the government.
He announced that one school in secondary or higher secondary level will be selected from the district to make it as “Model School” under the DC’s Untied Fund and other available funds shortly.
