ITANAGAR, Dec 3: Gumter Ete Deka, a first-batch policewoman to join the State Police Department, has retired from service after serving 40 years.
Gumter was inducted as a constable, and was later promoted to the ranks of Head Constable, Assistant Sub-Inspector, and, finally,Sub-Inspector of Police.
