PALIN, Dec 3: The All Kra Daadi District Students’ Union (AKDDSU) on Sunday appealed to the district administration to take urgent measures to deal with encroachment on school campuses.
The AKDDSU and the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Palin,recently submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu to evict encroachers from the school’s land, and to demarcate the boundaries of various schools in the district.
The AKDDSU said almost all the schools in the district are without proper area demarcation, which it said has led to rampant encroachment.
The union also demanded a complete ban on the use of mobile phones in school campuses.
