Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament

East Siang, West Siang reach quarterfinals from Group B

NAHARLAGUN, Dec 12: East Siang reached the quarterfinals of the 16th Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament, joining defending Champion West Siang from Group B.
From Group D, Kra Daadi and Lohit qualified automatically for the last eight as the group comprised of the two teams only. The winner and runners-up of each group qualify for the last eight.
East Siang trounced Lower Dibang Valley 4-0 in their last group level match on Tuesday at RG Stadium here.
Karge Doke, Kamin Darin, Lego Nokar and Talem Tali scored a goal each for East Siang.
In another match of the day, 10-men East Kameng pipped Longding 1-0. The all important goal was scored by Suresh Tayam in the 64th minute.
East Kameng was reduced to 10 players after Karan Tallong was sent off for receiving two consecutive yellow cards in a single match.
The score remained 0-0 at break.
