Renowned Galo priest dies

AALO, Dec 13: Renowned priest, orator, and social worker, Tago Paja Lodu breathed his last at a Shillong hospital on 11 December.
Paja is survived by his wife, three sons, and two daughters.
Born in 1970, Paja contributed immensely to the growth of the priest institution. He was the spokesperson of the Abotani Nyibu Welfare Association from 2010 to 2014.
Expressing profound sorrow over the untimely demise, the Lodu Ao Welfare Society (LAWS) said Paja worked constantly for the preservation of the Galo customs and traditions till his death, and termed his demise a big loss to the Galo society.
Paja’s mortal remains were laid to rest in the presence of a large number of mourners, including relatives, well-wishers, LAWS members and friends, at his native Paja village on Wednesday. (DIPRO)
